Why earn the CSC Credential?

The CSC is an essential credential granted by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI), for anyone seeking employment in Canada's finanical services industry. Passing the Canadian Securities Course is the first step towards earning a license to sell stocks, bonds and mutual funds.

The CSC is also a prerequisite course for many advanced designations such as the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Personal Financial Planner (PFP), the Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

The CSC provides broad based knowledge of the Canadian financial marketplace, equity, fixed income, mutual fund and derivative products, portfolio management theory as well as basic financial planning, tax planning and retirement planning strategies.
